3. Local Mountain Climbing for Great Views of Fuji and the Area

Mitsutoge
Mt. Mitsutoge is located between Fujiyoshida and Kawaguchiko and takes about 3-4 hours to climb, but the views are well worth it! Shakushiyama
Mt. Shakushiyama is located between Fujiyoshida and Oshino Village and can be completed in 2-3 hours. The climbing trail starts from Fudo-no-Yu Onsen, which is a fairly well hidden Hot Springs Hotel in the mountains. You’ll need a car or friendly local to get you to the start.
