Information Regarding COVID-19

Cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were originally reported at the end of 2019 in Wuhan, China. Since then, the virus has spread across the world causing a global pandemic.

Current guidelines within Fujiyoshida City include responsible social distancing, thorough hand-washing and mask-wearing. School closures and restrictions on group gatherings have been enforced. Though severe restrictions on outings have yet to be imposed, the situation is constantly changing. We urge all residents to act consistently with all advisories.

Anyone presenting symptoms such as a prolonged fever, body aches, and shortness of breath and believes that they may have been infected should contact the national or prefectural hotlines before going to a local clinic or hospital. Please monitor and record the severity and duration of your symptoms.
